The Prince Edward Island Rare Book Fair, August 7th-8th
Venue
The fair will take place at the Haviland Club at 2 Haviland Street in downtown Charlottetown.
The Haviland Club is located on Haviland Street, in the former residence, built in 1869, of Esther Full-Lowden and her three daughters. Esther was a young widow, businesswoman and single parent of the 19th century. The Haviland was established in 1997 by a group of socially minded people. The club is located in downtown Charlottetown.
Getting There
The club does not offer parking, however, there is metered parking (free on evenings and weekends) and a parkade at 100 Pownal Street, Charlottetown.
The Schedule
Friday, August 7th, 5pm - 8 pm: Opening Night Party: $50 CAD
Opening night will feature a party with wine, beer, oysters, live music and first access to the books. Friday tickets are valid for entry on Saturday.
Saturday, August 8th, 10 am - 6pm: Book Fair: $10 CAD, $8 CAD for students, under 16s free.
